• Expanded multi-player options provide a more social gameplay experience allowing up to eight people to player at once.
• EyeToy compatibility allows players to see themselves singing within the game, in place of the artist's video. Players are also recorded at key moments during their performance so they can replay the highlights afterwards; players can also take EyeToy photos that will appear within the menus, such as on the high-score screen. The game also includes new EyeToy effects taken from Classic '70s and '80s videos.
• Playback technology allows players to hear their performance and save it to Memory Card if they wish; fun voice distortion effects can alter the player's pitch.
• Freestyle allows players to practice without the pressure of being scored and rated, before trying it out in front of friends.
• The Shuffle Token feature allows players to spin the carousel again if they have randomly been allocated a song they don't like.
